Websites for care providers
Families choosing care are usually worried, often in a hurry, and reading everything. A care website has to be honest, complete and easy to navigate, and in England it has to show your inspection rating properly.

→The short answer
Good website design for care homes and home care providers shows your CQC rating where the law requires it, answers families' questions about care, fees and daily life plainly, and helps you recruit carers. We build care websites from £99 a month, with your rating displayed correctly, and you see yours before you pay.
(01)Your CQC rating
In England, a legal requirement, not a nice-to-have.
Showing your CQC rating on your website
Providers registered with the Care Quality Commission must display their latest rating on their website if they have one, as well as at their premises1. The website has to make clear which service or location each rating relates to, show the date of the rating, and link to the full report on CQC's website2.
The rating has to go up within 21 days of CQC publishing it, even if you've asked for a review, and CQC expects it on the homepage or the relevant service's main page2. CQC can prosecute providers who don't comply1.
Check your website
Care in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland is inspected by different regulators with their own rules; we follow whichever applies to you.
(02)What families look for
The questions they'll ask anyway.
What families look for on a care website
Fees, honestly
The CMA's consumer law advice for care homes expects homes to give an indication of weekly fees for people paying for themselves, with what's included and what costs extra, prominently on their website3.
Real photos
Rooms, shared spaces, the garden and the dining room, as they actually are, with permission from anyone who appears.
A day in the life
Meals, activities, visiting arrangements and how residents keep their own routines.
Who looks after them
The manager, the nursing team if you have one, and how carers are trained.
What you can and can't support
Dementia care, nursing needs, respite stays, end-of-life care. Clear about what you offer saves everyone a difficult phone call.
(03)Home or residential
Home care and residential care need different websites
| Home care | Care homes | |
|---|---|---|
| First question | Do you cover my parent's area, and when can you start? | Is there a room, and could they be happy here? |
| What to show | Areas covered, visit lengths, how carers are matched, continuity of carers | Rooms, facilities, menus, activities, visiting |
| Fees | Hourly or per-visit rates, minimum visit length, travel | Weekly fees, what's included, deposits and extras |
| The next step | A free assessment visit | A tour or a short respite stay |
(04)Recruitment
For many providers, finding carers is the harder search.
Recruitment pages that help you hire
Pay and hours, up front
Hourly rates, shift patterns, paid travel time and mileage for home care. Vague adverts get fewer applications.
Training and progression
What new carers learn in their first weeks, and the qualifications you support people towards.
What the checks involve
Background checks, references and what happens when, so applicants know what to expect.
Apply on a phone in minutes
Name, contact details, availability and experience. A full CV can come later.
Each vacancy on its own page
So it can be shared, and found in job searches.
(05)A concept site
