Pink Ideas Repairs
A website for an appliance repair business in Johannesburg, built to win local searches and turn them into WhatsApp chats, calls and bookings.
(01)The brief
Local searches in, booked repairs out
Pink Ideas repairs washing machines, fridges, ovens and other appliances across Johannesburg. Its customers search on their phones, often with a broken appliance in front of them, and want to message or book there and then. The site had to appear in those searches and make booking take seconds.
(02)What we built
Pages for real searches, booking in one screen
A page for each service and area
Service pages, area pages and pages for each service in each area, each written separately rather than copied with the town name swapped. 88 pages were open to Google at launch, out of about 200 planned, with the rest released in waves.
Booking in one phone screen
Appliance, area, address lookup, what's wrong, a day, photos and contact details, all fitting on one phone screen. The customer gets a confirmation email with a booking reference.
WhatsApp, already written
Every page opens WhatsApp with a message that already says what the customer needs, such as a fridge repair in Sandton.
Alerts and a jobs dashboard
The office is emailed about new bookings and WhatsApp enquiries, assigns each job to a technician on a private link, and the customer is asked to rate the job by email once it is done.

(03)For a UK business
What we'd do the same for you
- Pages for the towns you really work in, each saying something true about that area.
- Click-to-call and WhatsApp that start the conversation for your customer.
- A booking form short enough to finish with one hand, standing next to the broken thing.
See local SEO and websites for repair businesses for how this works in the UK.
